Hello everyone! Here is part two of The Darcylicious Awards.
The previous post The Darcylicious Awards PT.1 has generated a lot of interest and it has been fun creating it. There seems to be some confusion surrounding, The Savile Row Award. This award is for best tailor but I have a sneaky feeling no one is looking at their clothes (apart from of course Ceri who mentioned great boots on Firth although her favourite Darcy is Gregory!). However I believe some bias does exist  :) To address this I have created another award to include some other Darcy's and this award does not pertain to anything but DARCY, hopefully this will eliminate any bias!! :)

1.
I love Darcy Award!!
(As you can see no bias here!)
2.

5.

A                                                                      B                                                                     C

8.
Home Sweet Home Award!
A                                                                     B                                                                  C

Thank you for taking part everyone, it has been lovely seeing who you prefer!!!

    1. I know Vesper the over acting killed it but theatrically she makes me laugh every time! I can see from your votes so far which adaptation you like the best :) Thanks for your votes

  3. 1A - I wondered if I'd done the last one wrong because everybody else was commenting on Darcy and I was looking at just his clothes in the pic! Colin is my Darcy though, lovely :)
2C - Brenda Blethyn was awesome in this film. I didn't like Alison Steadman's take on it, it was almost like a pantomime dame

    1. Ha ha Ceri, I can see which adaptation you like, although is the 1940's your fav as I did not really include the characters to give choice :) I have still yet to watch it the dvd is still in the cellophane wrap! :)

    2. Hi Tamara, the 1940 one was the first one I saw so I have a soft spot for it, but the 1995 version is my favourite :)

    1. Joana you do make me laugh although I see you have strayed some on the subject of Jane and Bingley who I also like in the 2005 version :)

Although I did like Mr. Darcy from Death Comes to Pemberley, He wasn't enough of a presence. If that makes sense.

  6. Here's my selection:

    1. A - it just has to be! Though, despite all of 1940's faults, I have a soft spot for B cos he was my first - and no, I'm NOT old enough to have seen it when it first came out!
    2. If we could merge B and C, I'd be happier, though what about Alex Kingston in Lost in Austen?
    3. B
    4. B
    5. B - I agree with Vesper about C.
    6. B
    7. B
    8. Probably A, as although Darcy was rather well off(!), I thought Chatsworth, and to a lesser extent, Lyme Park, were a bit too grand, even for him.

Looking forward to seeing the results, Tamara!

    1. Yes Angela B&C Mrs Bennet combined would be great! I was so disappointed with Tom Ward as I disliked how the character was played in DCP but I think he is a very handsome Colonel :)

  8. Ooh! More fun! We need to have a televised event of the Darcyilicious Award ceremony! :)

    1. I want to choose two (A and B) but I know I can't! Will go with A, he is closer I think.
    2. C - as best mother, I liked the little scenes showing how she did have some sense
    3. B - seems like he would follow anything you told him to do
    4. B
    5. B
    6. C definitely, C!
    7. B
    8. Any would suit me. :) But I like the scenery around C, the hills in the distance and there seems a good amount of trees too. :)

Haven't scene Death Comes to Pemberley yet, don't know if it will change any of my votes. :)

    1. Oh Meredith, I would love to hear your thoughts once you do see DCP! I think a lot of people like Jane form 2005 and I agree B- Bingley seemed very gullible :) Thanks for voting
